I began my yoga journey in 2009, practicing Kundalini yoga. Yoga has been a very important part of my life. It has brought me joy, a greater awareness of my purpose and a calmness in my life. I love teaching and sharing the gift of yoga. I enjoy working with the senior population and also with people who are living with physical challenges. I believe that yoga can be part of anyone’s life and that yoga benefits every “body.” The mind, body, spiritual connection is very essential to the healing process and for a general feeling of well-being. My goal is to have people feel empowered, comfortable and challenged while also having fun.

I fully believe in the therapeutic value of yoga and its positive effect to one’s body, mind and spirit. I have been fortunate enough to provide support to military, cancer survivors, and those afflicted with Parkinsons disease. I am experienced in Gentle, Adaptive, Prenatal, Meditative and Restorative yoga practices. My integration of yoga techniques lets me teach and provide support at multiple levels. Expect challenging poses, modification options, and alignment support. Combined with my upbeat personality and physical fitness experience, I provide encouragement and guidance to individuals in a challenging and nurturing environment. I look forward to meeting you!

I love the benefits yoga brings. Not just in strength and flexibility, but clarity of mind. I'm not the typical gumby yogi that comes to mind. I've had two total hip replacements and have a really jacked up knee. I had one stretch where I spent over four years on crutches. I have personally experienced the benefits of yoga and love sharing this with others. Helping people get healthier totally fills my bucket!

I have been a reluctant yogini since 1999 and understand resistance to beginning a yoga practice. When pain in my neck got so great that I was willing to try anything, yoga turned out to be the ideal therapeutic exercise for healing. I began teaching in 2003, and over the years I’ve worked with thousands of students from professional athletes to stressed out executives to small children and the elderly. My passion is therapeutic alignment, re-educating movement patterns and bringing about a sense of homeostasis. My style is functional, adaptive and individualized to meet the needs of participants.
