Dr. Martin Henschell, DC

Born and raised near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dr. Martin Henschell developed an early appreciation for hard work and an active lifestyle. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in California, with training in wellness care and Diversified and Activator techniques.

After moving to Seattle in 1998, he worked as an associate chiropractor, expanding his clinical skills and gaining experience alongside one of Washington’s most experienced animal chiropractors. In 2001, he took a leap of faith and opened Henschell Chiropractic in Bonney Lake as a one-doctor practice without employees or front-desk help.

As the clinic’s reputation grew, so did its team and services. Dr. Henschell led the practice into its current Bonney Lake facility in 2012, creating space for additional doctors, Massage Therapy, functional rehabilitation and onsite digital X-ray. Today, he cares for families, athletes, working adults and patients recovering from car accidents or other musculoskeletal injuries.

His approach centers on listening carefully, explaining findings clearly and helping each patient understand the plan for improving comfort, movement and function.

Dr. Alta Mahan, DC

Dr. Alta Mahan holds Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees and brings more than 27 years of experience to her work with babies, children, expectant mothers and families. Her clinical background includes Thompson, Diversified and Activator techniques.

She has advanced perinatal, pediatric and postnatal certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), along with specialized training and experience in the Webster Technique. This chiropractic approach focuses on pelvic alignment and function to support comfort during pregnancy and preparation for birth.

Committed to lifelong learning and collaborative family care, Dr. Alta works with local obstetricians, midwives, lactation specialists and doulas. Her patient, family-centered approach is designed to meet each person’s needs through different stages of life.

Dr. William Borg, DC

Dr. William Borg has provided family-centered chiropractic care since 1988. He completed his pre-chiropractic studies in Washington from 1980 to 1983, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

His postgraduate education includes chiropractic pediatric and pregnancy care, work and automobile injuries, sports injuries and extensive training in functional nutrition. That broad background supports his work with children, parents, athletes, working adults and people recovering from injuries.

Dr. Borg takes a whole-person approach that looks beyond immediate discomfort to support mobility, function and long-term health. His experience in functional nutrition complements the clinic’s coordinated approach to patient care.
